On the morning of September 17th, 2015, the factory of Guangzhou HEDY Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as HEDY) located in Huangpu District, Guangzhou welcomed distinguished guests from Germany. HEDY introduced production process of HEDY inverters, and HEDY’s efforts in process control, energy conservation and emission reduction to the guests. And they communicated gains and experiences in energy efficiency, seeking for cooperation in the future. German enterprise’s visit to HEDY followed Sino-German Energy Efficiency Technology Seminar which was held in Four Seasons Hotel, Zhujiang Newtown two days ago.
The by-product of economic development is increasing energy consumption, bringing more carbon dioxide emissions, global warming and environmental degradation. In order to build a comfortable living environment for all human beings, countries around the world has negotiated for years, but unified agreement has not yet been reached. However all countries have a consensus that is energy conservation and emission reduction. China’s economy has developed rapidly, but extensive growth has brought environmental problems. With skyscrapers rising, clean water, green hills, and blue sky are disappearing. Chinese government has paid much attention to environmental problems. In 2005, it is pointed out in the Eleventh Five-year Plan that energy consumption per unit of GDP should be reduced by about 20%, and prime pollutant emissions reduced by 10%. In 2012, the state council issued Announcement of Issuing the Eleventh Five-Year Plan of Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction by The State Council, making clear and specific indicators for all the industries. For example, the power of three-phase asynchronous motor should be raised from 90% of 2010 to 92%-94% by 2015. Though the mission is hard to achieve, we must achieve.
Germany is leading in energy conservation and emission reduction. On June 18th, 2008, German government announced to pass the second part of the Climate Protection Plan to face the increasingly intensifying global warming, defining requirements for energy conservation and emission reduction.

As Germany has lots of experience in energy conservation and emission reduction because of early industrialization, and also Germany has strong industrial foundation and leading technology, it has put forward many advanced energy efficiency technologies and ideas.
China and Germany have common goal in energy conservation and emission reduction, and China want to learn German experience and technology, thus driven by German Industry and Commerce, Sino-German Energy Efficiency Technology Seminar was held in Four Seasons Hotel, Zhujiang Newtown, seeking for cooperation in energy conservation and emission reduction between China and Germany.
The inverters produced by HEDY are widely used in air compressor, pump, central air conditioning system, etc., effectively reducing the above equipment’s energy consumption. To learn from German leading experience in energy efficiency, HEDY was invited to attend the seminar.
The seminar was hosted by German Industry and Commerce, an overseas subsidiary of Deutscher Industrie- und Handelskammertag (DIHK), which seeks for economic and trade benefits between China and Germany, providing services with its commerce and membership platform. And Mr. Sebastian May, business director of Delegations of German Industry & Commerce Guangzhou hosted the meeting.
In the beginning, Mr. Jochen U. Künzel, Vice Consul of German Consulate in Guangzhou gave welcome remarks to all of the attendants.
Ms. Meike Wachter, representative of the Industrial Energy Conservation Project of German Economic and Energy Ministry, introduced Germany’s efforts and fruits in energy conservation and emission reduction.
Next, representatives of German universities and enterprises introduced their ideas and technologies in energy conservation and emission reduction. For example, Mr. Georg Frey, professor of automation and energy system from University of Saarland, gave a speech named Introduction of Industrial Energy Efficiency Taking Automation Industry for Example.
The seminar continued after the speeches in Guangzhou Four Seasons Hotel, and German enterprises visited and communicated with Chinese enterprises. HEDY is one of the Chinese enterprises visited, and received a German enterprise on September 17th, 2015, which was mentioned in the beginning of this report.
